Sunday 16/08/2026. 

Sussex Hospices Trail.  Distance: 12km\8miles. Duration:  4-5 hours.  Normans Bay to Eastbourne.

  • Entirely flat, paved paths.
  • Coastal stroll.
  • Passing through Pevensey Bay.

Refreshments: Plenty of places between Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne.

Meet at Three Bridges or hop on the train at a different calling point.

Sunday 23/08/2026. *Weather permitting will be confirmed a week before*

Seven Sisters Cliffs Walk.  Distance: 13-16km 8-10miles. Duration:  5-7 hours. Seaford to Eastbourne. *Serious Stroll*

  • Walk requested by Fe. (Thinking twice about this one myself).
  • From Seaford a short hop on a bus to Exceat where we start the stroll.
  • Passing through Birling Gap, Belle Tout Lighthouse and Beachy Head. Rest breaks will be required!  
  • 7 continuous rolling cliffs to the Birling Gap.
  • Hilly terrain the rest of the way.
  • Steep descent into Eastbourne. Pay off is amazing views.

  • Exceat to Birling Gap.                                   Distance: 6.4km Duration:  2-3 hours. Coaster 13X bus to Eastbourne or Brighton.
  • Exceat to Beachy Head.                               Distance: 10km  Duration:  3-4 hours. Coaster 13X bus to Eastbourne or Brighton.

Refreshments:  Seven Sisters Visitor Centre, Birling Gap, Beachy Head, Eastbourne.

Meet at Three Bridges or hop on the train at a different calling point.

  • Bus to Exceat

 

 

Sunday 30/08/2026.

Sussex Hospices Trail.  Distance:18km\11miles. Duration: 5-6 hours.  Balcombe to Horsham.

  • Countryside walk, mixed terrain.
  • Taking in the High Weald landscape.
  • Passing through Nymans ancient woodland.

Refreshments: Very limited. Midway at Handcross, Horsham. Bringing water and snacks is recommended.

Meet at Three Bridges or hop on the train at a different calling point.
